There are two categories of international students: the ones that require a Visa to come to Georgia and the ones who do not. If you don’t know which category you belong to, here’s the list of 94 countries whose citizens can stay in Georgia for a year without a visa.

If your data does not match the visa-free travel requirements, it's time to start preparing to get a Visa. According to the Ministry of foreign affairs of Georgia, you will need a Georgian study Visa (D3 Visa) stamped on your passport or an electronic version of it.

In case of getting a study Visa and residence permit, citizens of these 50 countries can live in Georgia for 90 days.

General Visa requirements for international students:

An international student applying for Georgian D3 Visa:

• Must have an international passport
• Must be accepted to an accredited Georgian university and have an active student status
• Must not be banned from entering to Georgia for the last 5 years
• Must be outside of Georgia or inside of the country for at least 45 days
